Tuesday

Another fun last night and this morning. This time it's a Joseph's coat of many colors for Andrew. Seems like he's in love with the Joseph story and the coat will be an important addition. I've had another great blast with color sewing till 11:30 last night. My choice for sure. I hope to deliver it today. I don't think he knows it's coming so this should be interesting. He might like it right away...or 10 minutes after I leave. Kids...so unpredictable but so much fun watching their unpredictability. Tomorrow I'm meeting a friend and we're getting the Adam quilt together. I feel more comfortable with two extra hands working with such a big spread of fabric. It's a snowy morning. Right now it looks like lake affect snow. It's big and coming down ever so slowly. The sewing room is cleaned up again waiting for some sewing answers to questions from the Michigan kids

Go Colts

We did it... Well, the team did it come to think of it. But the 12th man/woman is also part of the team. Go Colts.

Another Friday

Time flies when you're having fun. Sewing all week and ready to move on to putting the sandwich together. The sewing room looks just a little neater than it usually does but not for long. Already thinking about some other projects. I think they will be small ones for a little bit. Well, maybe not come to think of it. B and Bowl was a busy place Thursday. We served lots and lots of people and we had enough food. My dogs were tired to say the least.

The knee. It's being better than it was but about the same as it was before the second shot. I am going to live with it for a while. Tomorrow I'm going to Doris D's for lunch with some other ladies.

Remember the Colts Sunday afternoon. It should be a good game. That's the short version of the week.

Boo Hoo

More about that later. This is the longest week I've had in a long time. I'm waiting for Saturday night FOOTBALL. What's going to happen? We'll just hope that the Colts come through. The Baltimore black birds are in town tonight. They don't call us the Indianapolis Colts. They call us the Indianapolis Team. So...I'm giving them the black bird title. Tomorrow night should be interesting.

Now...the Boo Hoo thing. The knee shot has stopped working already. I was hoping for another long spell this time. No such luck so far. It feels like there is a huge pinch in my knee shen I'm walking. I never know when it's going hit and it really hurts when it hits. So...I'm being very careful. Maybe it will go away soon. I've finished a wall hanging for the Michigan boys new bedroom decorations. I think KImmy will be sending me some plans for the baby quilt/bumpers soon. I also finished four banners for the sanctuary for Lent. Finishing things early is my mental health net.

That's it for tonight.

Woo, Woo.

Yup..Woo, is right. Just back from the knee doc and another shot of cortisone is in the knee. It's a miracle worker for at least a while. I'm going to think before I do what ever I need to do. Elevator if there is one, not climbing if someone else can do that. Now I'm hoping I can remember all that. Still sewing. I'm working on 4 short banners for Lent with the word forgive on the banners along with forgive in other languages. The theme is the Prodigal Son story. I have some other sewing things going as well so it's never dull around here. Doug said the floor is looking good again. That means that it's full of colorful scraps. I've started on the second hundred little knitted newborn caps going to Kenya. That fills in those crazy minutes one has and never does much with them. I can even knit in the dark in the car. Last week with so much snow, the ladies who were meeting me to talk about reducing the number of dishes, etc. in our church parlor didn't make it so yesterday we talked and this morning I loaded up 120 punch cups for Goodwill. There is at least another 100 to go. What I took was enough for one trip. I might haul another 100 tomorrow. Then it's the dinner plates. We have way to many sets and people want to use nice paper goods so it's time to reduce some of that. I have a feeling that much of what we have is what people decided to dump from their homes. Uck. n You know...give it to the church mentality. Church was awesome yesterday. It's one of the best sermons preached I would say on God calling us by name. Marvelous. And of course the music just was once again outstanding. Lots of people there regardless of the low temps. The rest of the week looks pretty tame. The sewing machine will be running it usual stuff. Wed. I'm working the desk, Thursday soup kitchen, bell practice Wed. night, choir Thurs. night. And...Sat...COLTS game! Woo, Woo.

Today January 5

Well, this is the first week in January. I'm hot into my second quilt top and this one is for Adam. It just makes me laugh when I think about all the crazy charactors that are on this quilt. It's an Adam surprise. I need to wait for a fabric sale later in January for the next step. Yesterday morning I spent two hrs. at church taking down all the sanctuary Advent Christmas stuff. Two other people came to help and we had most of the stuff down by 11:15. Not all put away but all down and the green is up for this coming season. Today I went to finish up and it resulted in a lot of cleaning and pitching. Funny how people don't throw out at a church. Not throw up but throw out. I've been guilty of the same but today I moved for the last time some things that I had moved around for 20 years and never used. So...it's been a good day. One thing depended on another thing so I really cleaned a huge closet as well as another room getting things on shelves that needed to be there and thing in the dumpster that needed to be there. Nothing good in the dumpster just things that were perhaps 20 years past throw out time. Visual Arts is in fine shape with organization. Worked from 8:30 to 4 so we're going to Steak and Shake for supper. Tomorrow morning I'm working at the desk and moving Advent stuff to the attic early afternoon. Thursday morning is B and Bowl and a huge shipment of food is coming in so that needs to get on the shelves with Joe W's help and I'm meeting two ladies early afternoon to work on the Parlor kitchen determining what our surplus of dishes really is. We have a ton and don't need them. We need to move on and find storage for what we do use. Thurs. eve is choir and Friday morning I'm meeting someone to work on throwing out and saving costumes. What a pain. Had a great visit with the doc yesterday and all is well. I'm looking to get a shingles shot. Yahoo. Then I won't get the shingles. Life is good.

Surprised..

That's what I am. I still don't have the right picture but I've got a picture! Woo, Woo. Back to the football game.

OK...

This is what I got!

Thinking

This picture thing is driving me nuts. I wake up at night thinking about what I must be doing wrong. I'll give it another shot today. Well, it didn't work again. I think the problem is that I'm not correctly selecting the image to post. I click on on the picture but then when I go to upload image it says nothing has been selected. Ugh! @#$%^& Driving me nuts. Any help anyone? If I were about 30 years younger I think this would be easier. Old brains are no fun. Weather is cool to cold. I'm staying inside today. In bed by 10:30 last night. It's great that the New Year comes by itself. I'll watch some football today and maybe finish the quilt top. Then again I might not finish it. Don't tell anyone but I need to go to the fabric shop. Great sales.
